MANCHESTER, NH – On Thursday, May 8th, 2025, Slam Free Or Die - Poetry Open Mic & Slam continues its popular open mic poetry series at Stark Brewing Company. This week there will be an open mic followed by the annual ROOKIE SLAM! Doors open at 7pm along with sign ups for the open mic and slam. The show starts at 8pm. About the Rookie Slam:
Never competed in a poetry slam at Slam Free? This night is specifically here for YOU!! This will be a 3 round slam for poets who have never competed in a slam at Slam Free or Die before!! Poets should come prepared with three poems that run no longer than 3 minutes. These poems must be original, and cannot include props or musical instruments. Poets also cannot do repeat poems. The winner of this slam will take home a $50 cash prize!!

Slam Free Or Die @ Stark Brewing Company is a series of open mic nights for poets and spoken-word artists every Thursday night in Manchester, NH. There is an open mic every night and poetry slams are also held several times a month. Doors open and sign-ups begin at 7pm with open mic beginning at 8pm. Featured poets and slams follow the open mic. Come and enjoy the delicious food and beverages at Stark Brewing Company! There is a $3-$5 cover charge, and we take either cash or Venmo!!
