This year’s Porters for a Purpose! is a head to head showdown between Loveless Porter Architects and The Irving Law Firm!
Introducing the Competitors:
Irving Law Firm - Half Baked Lager - ABV: 4.1%
This was Sinistral's first attempt at a Keptinis style lager. Born out of Lithuania, this light lager is supposed to be a bit darker in color and have a lot more brown sugar and caramel flavors. However, since it was their first attempt at roasting mashed grains and wort in a pizza oven they didn’t want to over do it. Hence the name Half Baked. They may have to call the next one Totally Baked. Be on the look-out. Made with Pilsner, Vienna and a handful of Rye.
Loveless Porter Architects - Camryn's Poker-Faced Porter - ABV: 5.9%
Camryn can be a little hard to read sometimes, but similar to Sinistral's signature Porter, you’ll find a blend of the best of everything. Their Robust Porter is brewed with roasted malt flavors from a blend of maris, wheat, chocolate and crystal malts. You’ll find notes of chocolate and caramel blended along with some light bitterness.
Beer starts flowing at 2:00 when the brewery opens but official kick off is at 5:00. The first beer to sell out, WINS!
Proceeds to benefit CASA CIS.
