FBC LA birding at Malibu Lagoon!

This is a beginner-friendly event and all are welcome, especially LGBTQ and BIPOC-identifying folks, people with disabilities, and women.

We'll meet near the restrooms at Malibu Lagoon State Beach at 8 AM. (Maps link)

Bring a mask/face covering if you'd like and binoculars if you have some (we'll have a few pairs to lend).

PARKING INSTRUCTIONS:

There is free parking along Highway 1 (PCH) before you enter the park, approximately at (34.0341514, -118.6868058), but will require additional walking before you enter the park. There is paid parking once you enter the park. If you can not afford to pay for parking, please let one of the event organizers know and we can help you.

ACCESSIBILITY:

The route we'll take is flat and starts as a concrete sidewalk that turns into a decomposed granite path around the estuary. We'll walk about 1/2 a mile until we get to the sandy beach. We'll find a place on the sand to chill and hang out. There are portable toilets on site, but no water. Please bring water and sun protection!
