Parasol cake

Learn to decorate a hemisphere cake as a charming parasol with ruffles, roses and flowers. Following the success of our mini parasol cake and numerous requests - this course is the large parasol (serves approx. 15-20).

We will bake a hemisphere cake for you which you will fill with jam and buttercream, then decorate as this charming vintage style parasol filled with flowers. Everything is explained step by step and you will be amazed at how many skills are covered.

How to:
- fill a hemisphere cake with jam and buttercream
- ice a hemisphere cake
- emboss sugarpaste using lace mats
- ice a cake board
- make simple blossoms
- make cupid roses
- make full size, unwired roses
- make daises
- make hydrangeas
- use dust colours to enhance your flowers
- make the umbrella handle
- make ruffles
- store and transportat your cake.
