Hey Madison bikers! This year we are hosting the first ever Pedal Parade at Ride the Drive! 🚲🎉
Our hope is to add a little extra fun and whimsy to the event, and celebrate our amazing bike community! Costumes and bike decorations are encouraged, but not required. Follow your own inspiration or join our group theme: Peace, Love, and Bikes (think hippie, flower child, Summer of Love, counterculture type of stuff)
Join us for parade preparations at our next Bike Advocacy Meetup on Sunday, August 3rd! Bring some craft supplies to make/design signs to adorn your bike, trailer, etc. The Meetup will be at Machinery Row from 5-6:30pm. Should be fun! If you can't attend the Bike Advocacy Meetup, decorate your bike ahead of time at home or swing by our bike decorating station the morning of Ride the Drive. It will be outside of Machinery Row at the Law Park Hub.
Event Details
Date: Sunday, August 10th, 2025
When: Gather at 11:30am, Roll out at 12:00pm
Where: Meet at McPike Park (park area behind bathrooms, overflowing towards Main St if needed)
Route: Take one lap of Ride the Drive course and then disperse!
If you're not familiar with Ride the Drive, it's a very cool event where the city closes John Nolen and part of Willy Street to all car traffic. It goes from 10am-2pm, and there will be lots of vendors, food, music, etc.
