Teen Intro to Glassblowing (4-Week Course)

Step into the world of molten glass and discover the magic of glassblowing in this 4-week beginner-friendly course designed specifically for teens! Meeting once a week on Thursdays from 5:00 to 6:30 PM, this class introduces students to the fundamentals of working with hot glass in a fun and supportive studio environment.
Each week, students will complete
one to two unique glass pieces while learning techniques like gathering, shaping, and blowing. Over the course of the class, participants will create a variety of beautiful and functional glass items, including:
A solid glass paperweight
A glass rose
A hand-blown cup
A colorful, one-of-a-kind floppy bowl
No experience is needed—just bring your curiosity and creativity! All tools and materials are provided, and safety will be a top priority throughout the course.
What to Bring & Wear:
Wear comfortable, natural fiber clothing (cotton is best)
No synthetic materials (like polyester or nylon)
Closed-toe shoes are required
Bring a bottle of water to stay hydrated—working near the furnace can get hot!
Ages: 12–18
