Machias River Preserve Hike

Join us to explore the beautiful Machias River Preserve!

This hike will take us through beautiful forest to the bank of the Machias River. We'll hike about two miles total on this out and back route.

Once we get to the river, we can stop to explore a little stream, have a snack, and play! From there, families can either head back to the car or continue hiking down the trail.

The trails are not good for strollers, so bring a carrier if needed!

Directions:
Meet at the Machias River Preserve parking lot on Route 1A; about 0.5 miles south of Down East Community Hospital.
