Yoga Class Theme: Yoga to My Core

This beginners’ Hatha yoga class will strengthen your core muscles by engaging them in various poses and transitions.

A strong core offers numerous benefits, including improved posture, balance and stability, which can lead to reduced back pain and risk of injury.

During this class, we will hold positions such as Boat Pose (Navasana) for an extended period, engaging the core muscles to maintain stability.

Our Pranayama, or breath control practice, will be Kapalabhati (Skull Shining Breath) that can signicantly increase abdominal muscle activation.

Our practice will also incorporate use of the pelvic floor muscles, which are an important part of the core, supporting the spine and pelvis.
