Please join us for a Spring Volunteer Cleanup!
This is a great opportunity to come together to reconnect or meet new, likeminded people, and work towards a common goal in support of the quality care of our rescued residents by providing them with a safe, clean and healthy environment.
The tasks that we take on during this day will contribute to the present and future wellbeing of the animals, and the quality future of the Sanctuary.
It will be challenging, yet immensely rewarding work where you will get to see the results and know in your heart that you are making a positive impact on the lives of others
Arrive between 9-9:15am
Please park in the Inn parking lot to the left of the brick building and follow the driveway by foot to the clock barn.
We will begin by having everyone check-in at the Sanctuary yard, followed by a brief tour beginning at 9:30am.
On the tour you will have the opportunity to become familiar with the layout of the Sanctuary, learn about our mission, learn about safety guidelines, and be introduced to the animals.
Work will commence following the tour at 10am.
Our projected schedule for the day:
9-9:15: Arrive and check-in
10-12:00: Work
12-12:30: Lunch time
12:30-2:00: Final work segment
This will be a very physical day. We will be raking, shoveling, sweeping, and more.
Please dress accordingly with clothing and close-toed shoes that you are comfortable getting dirty, hat and gloves if you would like.
We cannot guarantee what the weather will be like, so please be prepared with layers, rain jacket or rubber boots if need be, however, we are hoping sunscreen will be the necessity!
Please bring a lunch and snack, as you will assuredly work up an appetite. We have many places about the property to enjoy your meal, and take in all of the lovely sights, smells and sounds of the property, animals and nature.
This event is open to everyone aged 12 and up.
We do require that children/teens aged 12-18 yrs old have an adult present and working with them.
We welcome this opportunity to meet you all, share with you the heartfelt beauty of the Sanctuary, work together for a common good, and introduce future volunteer opportunities.
Feel free to come for the entirety of the day, or just the morning segment.
It takes a community of love and dedication to rescue and sanctuary those in need, and we appreciate having you as a part of it.
Thank you for your support and belief in our mission.
