I am happy to announce that Chris Lombard will be returning to the Northeast Kingdom again this year to lead us on another journey of connection and understanding horses.
This year’s clinic will be located at the beautiful “Willoughby View Equestrian” facility in St Johnsbury, VT.
This will be a two-day clinic, with a riding element.
There is an opportunity for active participation, as well as auditing.
This clinic will begin on the ground, the location where the foundation of a quality relationship with a horse is built.
You may bring your tack for the opportunity later in the day on day one, and assuredly so on day two.
Participants will learn how to communicate effectively without the use of force, welcoming the horse to use its voice and willingly partner with the person, through the use of energy, body language and more.
We will begin with a humans-only meeting to greet one-another at 9am, go over the day’s schedule, get to know the horses and an opportunity will be presented to go over any initial questions or concerns.
Please arrive by 8:45, or earlier if you are attending with a horse, please arrive early.
Following this meeting we will gather with the horses to begin groundwork.
Our lunch break will last for an hour around noon. We ask that participants bring their own lunches.
After lunch, we will return to working with the horses for the remainder of the afternoon, with a closing reconvening to go-over what has been learned and address any lingering questions.
And so on, for the second day.
Participants are to attend with their own horses. Stalls are available overnight for a fee.
Please contact Michelle with questions.
We ask that participants bring:
Your own lunch
Water
A folding chair
A rope halter
A 12-14’ lead
A training stick if it is part of your regular practice.
Optional journal
And wear proper footwear
This clinic is limited to 6 active participants, so please let us know soon if you would like to participate!
The cost per participant will be $325/person.
Auditors are also welcome for both days at $50/person, or one day at $30/person.
As an auditor, you will be included as well in discussion, questions, etc.
Please make sure to bring your essentials with you also; chair, water, lunch, etc.
Auditing fees will be donated towards the “Mountain View Farm Animal Sanctuary” in East Burke, VT.
PLEASE REGISTER IN ADVANCE.
