About the courses
In partnership with the University of Huddersfield, we offer two flexible, well‑respected routes into teaching in FE and Lifelong Learning:
- Certificate in Education (Lifelong Learning) – Level 5 – A great choice if you don’t hold a degree but want a recognised qualification to teach in the FE and adult learning sector.
- PGCE (Lifelong Learning) – Ideal for graduates who want to teach learners aged 16+ across FE colleges, adult education, community learning, workplace training and more.
Both pathways provide:
- Extensive hands‑on teaching placements
- Support from experienced tutors and mentors
- Opportunities to develop subject‑specialist expertise
- A progression route toward QTLS status, the recognised benchmark for FE teaching
