Deborah Rose Botbyl, the first born to Rosalie and Edwin Craig on March 30th, 1955, arrived peacefully to the arms of Jesus on July 25th, 2025. Debbie spent 70 fulfilled years on this earth being a devoted wife to her husband and best friend, John of 35 years. Debbie was the older sister to Susan (late husband, Dan) and Steven (wife, Denise). Debbie loved her nieces and nephews as well as their spouses and their children so much. She also loved her in laws and and their families. Other than living for Jesus and loving her husband, the best part of her life was being a mother. Her children, Christa (husband, Chris), Melissa (husband, Jon), John (wife, Tina), Christopher, Jay (wife, Rae), Becca (husband, Kris), and Josh (wife, Amanda). Debbie would often say that her kids were her whole world and her whole heart. Debbie's grandchildren and great-grandchild were the joy of her life. It was always her grandchildren that kept the hard days brighter as she fiercely fought her cancer battle.
Debbie loved her dogs, too. She treated them like her own children, especially her Shadow.
Debbie was an avid prayer warrior and made sure EVERYONE she met walked away from her as a friend feeling loved and cherished. She invested in people, their potential, and loved like Jesus no matter what. Debbie always made sure to make others feel important, seen, and special. She was a good and true friend to so many.
Debbie loved spreading the gospel, hugging people, being the hands and feet of Jesus, giving away whatever she could to those in need, and helping to solve any problem - thats how Debbie lived and loved. She found her happy place this side of Glory in her church, Abbas House. Debbie was always volunteering, sharing a sermon, and seeking involvment in her church where she truly loved to be.
Debbie went Home to the Lord a good and faithful servant. Her love for God, His people, and His creation is the legacy she left this earth. If she could say one last thing to everyone she loved at the same time, it would be "i love you and give your life to Jesus". Deborah Rose Botbyl will always be remembered, celebrated, and loved by every person she has ever known.
