We are thrilled to welcome Pattie Boyd – internationally renowned photographer, author, and 60s icon – to Ludlow Assembly Rooms for a truly special evening of stories, images, and inspiration.
A leading model of London’s Swinging Sixties, she graced the covers of Vogue and worked with legendary photographers such as David Bailey and Terence Donovan. But it was her personal life that catapulted her into the heart of music history.
Pattie met George Harrison on the set of A Hard Day’s Night and became his wife in 1966, with Paul McCartney as best man. For a decade, she lived at the very centre of the Beatles' universe – present for iconic moments such as the Our World broadcast of “All You Need Is Love,” and the band’s spiritual journey to India, which led to the creation of The White Album and the legendary Esher Demos recorded at Pattie and George’s home.
Following her marriage to George, Pattie went on to marry Eric Clapton, becoming the muse behind some of the greatest love songs ever written – “Something”, “Layla”, and “Wonderful Tonight” among them.
But Pattie Boyd is more than a muse. She is an accomplished, award-winning photographer whose work has been exhibited around the world. From candid portraits of her famous friends – including Mick Jagger, Ringo Starr, and Paul McCartney – to evocative landscapes and everyday people encountered on her travels, Pattie’s work is deeply personal, vibrant, and full of life.
Her best-selling books Wonderful Today and My Life In Pictures have captivated readers with their honesty, humour, and unforgettable imagery.
Join us for an intimate evening as Pattie shares her extraordinary story – in her own words and through her lens. A rare opportunity to hear first-hand from a woman who helped shape the cultural landscape of a generation.
