Get ready to make some beautiful music this summer and beyond! The Ludington Youth Choir is thrilled to announce its inaugural summer camp, the exciting kick-off to a year-long choral program, led by the passionate and experienced Elliot Plummer. Students 9 - 13 years old from all surrounding areas, including Scottville, Manistee, Hart, and Pentwater are warmly welcome to join!
A proud product of Ludington, Elliott brings a wealth of musical knowledge and a deep love for working with young people. Having grown up right here in Ludington, attending O.J. DeJonge Middle School and Ludington High School, Elliot went on to earn his Bachelor's degree in Music Education (Vocal/Instrumental K-12) from Grand Valley State University. His musical journey began in middle school and blossomed through high school and college, where he actively participated in a wide array of musical ensembles, from bands and orchestras to choirs and musical theater.
"Music is one of the greatest gifts that humanity has been given," says Elliot, "and I can see no better way to spend my life than by sharing the gift of music with young developing musicians. I love working with young people, and I love helping them accomplish what they thought impossible for themselves. This is especially true when it comes to music!"
Join us for two weeks of musical fun June 16-20 & 23-27, from 1:00 PM to 3:30 PM each day. The camp fee is $115, which includes a cool camp shirt and daily snacks! The camp will conclude with a performance on Friday, June 27! Call time for campers id 6 p.m., doors will open at 6:30 p.m., curtain is at 7:00 p.m., and the performance should last 30 - 40 minutes.
This camp serves as the perfect introduction to the Ludington Youth Choir's year-long program, providing a taste of the musical adventures to come for students from across the region.
