Together, we will explore some of the most iconic scenes, concepts, and technologies 🦾 from the realm of science fiction, grounding them in real scientific theories and discoveries.
We will examine the breathtaking visuals of distant galaxies 💫 and black holes, as well as discuss the accuracy of space travel 🚀 and time dilation as portrayed in films like "2001: A Space Odyssey" and "Interstellar." We will also delve into thought-provoking concepts of alien life 👽 on other worlds and technological advancements, as presented in 📺 movies and shows such as "Alien", "Lost in Space", and "The Expanse." Together, we’ll discover how these stories inspire our curiosity and passion for astronomy.

Our Public Astronomy Night Events explore a specific topic and encourage interactive discussions on everyday Astronomical events we take for granted.

Gold Coast Astronomy offers you the ability to relive your experience with a take-home star chart of the night, a summary of key visible celestial objects, and an opportunity to capture, with your mobile, your very own snaps through one of our telescopes.📷🤳🏼
