Bio:
Joe Bernui has been playing music professionally for decades. Starting in the early 80's, he was lead guitar player in a Washington, DC area band "Ignition," also contributing solid vocal harmonies and an occasional lead vocal.
During the 1990's Joe's next band "Shirkaday" found themselves in need of a lead singer. Having no luck finding a suitable vocalist through auditions, Joe became that band's lead singer in addition to playing guitar.
As the "Acoustic Rock" genre became popular in the mid-late 90's, Joe began doing solo shows, finding it to be much more lucrative, while still playing with a number of bands in Northern Virginia.
For the last 15+ years, Joe has been doing mostly solo/acoustic shows. Now living in Sarasota, FL, he has been working steadily at Tiki Bars, Restaurants, Country Clubs and private parties, occasionally as part of a duo.
Joe's long-time bandmate and songwriting partner, Brian Curtiss will be joining him for this show at Flying Ace!
