Leslie Pryor Productions and The KPA ArtsReach MeX Project Present
Confessions of a Man
Saturday, June 21 - Sunday June 22
The Kentucky Center - MeX Theater
"Confessions of a Man" is a deeply moving, all-male stage play set during the 30-year homecoming college reunion at Kingston University — an HBCU where three fraternity brothers of Alpha Phi Rho, Gamma Chapter, reunite in the home of their line leader, Kai Griffin, a pastor, lawyer, and devoted father. What begins as a weekend of reminiscing quickly transforms into a soul-stirring evening of truth, secrets, healing, and confession.
Unbeknownst to the others, Kai is privately battling a painful truth — a secret he has tried to bury beneath strength and spirituality. As the brothers drink, laugh, argue, and revisit their past, each man opens up about the hidden struggles behind his title — marriage woes, fatherhood fears, financial failure, spiritual drift, and loneliness.
This performance is part of the Kentucky Performing Arts ArtsReach MeX Project. The ArtsReach MeX Project elevates artists and organizations within our community by providing fully underwritten opportunities to produce creative work in The Kentucky Center’s Boyd Martin Experimental Theater (MeX).
