Plot Synopsis
Adam and Margo have just moved into a new home in the Hollywood Hills. To celebrate their rise in status, they host a housewarming party and invite friends and family to explore the sleekly opulent house. As the party winds down, two guests linger after – guests that neither Adam nor Margo remember inviting. What follows is a seductive and ensnaring game of cat and mouse where it becomes impossible to tell if Adam and Margo are in actual danger or if everything really is as neighborly as it seems.
Character Description
ADAM (Mid 20s - 40s, male-presenting)
Margo's husband. Upwardly mobile, eager to impress, sometimes oblivious. He’s newly successful and insecure about proving himself. Charismatic on the surface, but cracks show under pressure. A people-pleaser caught in the wrong game.
MARGO (Mid 20s - 40s, female-presenting)
Adam's wife. Witty, grounded and more skeptical than she lets on. Someone who is having a harder and harder time recognizing who her husband has become and how their life has changed. She plays the perfect host but senses something is off. Strong emotional depth and internal conflict — especially as her trust is tested.
TOM (Mid 20s - 40s, male-presenting)
Sasha's partner. Suave, enigmatic and just a little too perfect. There’s a dangerous magnetism to Tom — the kind of guest who knows exactly how to push your buttons without ever raising his voice. Effervescent and engaging while subtly sinister...maybe. Smiles hide sharp edges.
SASHA (Mid 20s - 40s, female-presenting)
Tom's partner. Glamorous, sharp and disarming. Her presence is intoxicating – both seductive and perhaps menacing? While she can seem to be laid back, beneath her charm, she remains in control, always playing the long game.
TEENY (Mid 20s - 40s, female-presenting)
A longtime friend of Margo's and owner of the thrift shop where Margo works. She's well-meaning if disorganized, someone who has a zest for life but is one minor inconvenience away from losing it. She's the girl you want at the party and also likely the one who will wake up on your couch the next morning.
NOTE: Teeny is not part of the central action and will have significantly less rehearsal obligations than the other four characters. She appears in vignettes throughout the show but usually independently.
