Once again we are happy to announce two Recovery On The River whitewater rafting trips with Healing Waters Wilderness Adventures. This year we will be hosting both adventurous river rafting & camping trips at Camp Lotus on the American River.
Trip #2 is Saturday and Sunday, August 2&3 (25 rafters max)
The deadline to turn in your documents and payment for the trip is July 16th.
These are overnight camping trips at Camp Lotus on the American River. Rafters should arrive Saturday morning by 8:30am.
Busses will transport the rafters to the launch site. Rafters will raft that afternoon down the American River and back to the campgrounds where they will camp overnight and return to the Bay Area by around 4pm Sunday. All camping gear (tent, sleeping bag, and mat), river equipment and food is provided , except lunch/snacks on the road to and from Camp Lotus. You are welcome to bring your own camping gear if you wish. Cost is $90/per person and there are a limited number of partial scholarships available. Just marking yourself as GOING or INTERESTED on this Facebook event does NOT guarantee you a spot. There will be no refunds after the July 16th cutoff date unless the trip is canceled.

Please try to form your own carpools. Please let Brandon know if you will need a ride and he can either reach out to other participants that might have space in their car. Feel free to post in this event if you have space in your car, or are in need of a ride.
Optional Friday night camping and Saturday breakfast can be added for an additional $20 per person.

The trips are lead by Healing Waters Wilderness Adventures, a not-for-profit in SF that provides outdoor adventure activities for people in recovery and/or people infected and affected by HIV/AIDS to facilitate community, physical, mental and spiritual health. Friends and family who support these groups are welcome to attend. You do not have to be HIV positive to attend.
