Join us for the very special evening closing event of PLANTSTOCK 2025, an intimate and unforgettable concert held in the festival's upstairs Plantasia Lounge, as sound, performance, and multimedia artist Tru Sound performs SONOSYNTHESIS, an immersive sonic experience created live in harmony with music created by plants!
SONOSYNTHESIS is a living installation and performance exploring the intersection of plant life, sonic technology, and human presence. Rooted in the bioelectric rhythms of plants, the project transforms natural electrical signals into musical data—allowing flora to “speak” through synthesizers, drum machines, and ambient textures.
Part science, part spirit, part sound system—SONOSYNTHESIS frames music as more than entertainment: it’s a form of communication, a container for memory, and a medium for communion. Participants are invited to touch, listen, and interact with living plants connected to MIDI interfaces—each triggering sound in real time, creating improvised compositions shaped by proximity, energy, and intention.
The work exists between disciplines—sound art, electronic music, environmental study, and ritual performance. Inspired by ancestral knowledge systems and Afro-Indigenous understandings of nature as animate, SONOSYNTHESIS reclaims the act of listening as a collaborative, ecological gesture.
Light is food for plants. Music is food for the soul. SONOSYNTHESIS grows in between.
Join us for what promises to be an organic and unforgettable late evening experience!
