Join us for a powerful evening of truth-telling, resistance, and celebration at Ink Unchained: Black Memoirs of Juneteenth, hosted by RLn at the historic Los Angeles Harbor.
At a time when Black voices are being silenced and books by Black authors are increasingly banned from school libraries, this event stands as a bold act of cultural preservation and community resilience. Ink Unchained is more than a book signing—it's a public stand against the erasure of Black narratives, a tribute to the literary freedom fighters of our time, and a celebration of the authors who continue to document Black history, identity, and liberation.
Meet and engage with powerful voices including author and filmmaker David Calloway, retired General Peter Gravett, community leader Leon Carroll Jr., and memoirist Gloria Lockhart, among others—all sharing works born of lived experience and deep creative insight from the Harbor area and beyond.
Whether you're a reader, educator, activist, or community member, this inaugural Juneteenth weekend event will leave you inspired and empowered. Come honor the genius of Black storytellers—and help amplify the stories they are fighting to keep alive.
