Outside Greece, Greek food is closely associated with a limited number of dishes—baklava, gyro, moussaka, and spanakopita among them—that, while deservedly well known, only hint at the diversity and variety of this highly localized yet globally recognized culinary culture. On Saturday, May 31, join the Center for Culinary Culture in welcoming Chef Christina Xenos to LA's Arts District for a demonstration of dishes that reflect the true breadth and depth of Greek cuisine. After the program, sample Chef's dishes prepared with fresh fare from Melissa's Produce, as well as assorted Greek cheeses and other delicacies courtesy the new Los Angeles Greek Market. Plus purchase and have Christina sign a copy of her now-out-of-print "Opa! The Healthy Greek Cookbook: Modern Mediterranean Recipes for Living the Good Life" while sipping a Martini—or two—featuring fine Greek spirits, including gin, vodka, and KLEOS Mastiha Spirit!
