The Veteran Success Resource Group and partners will host a Holiday Market on Saturday **December 14 from 12 PM to 2 PM at 9429 Lorton Market Street, Lorton, VA, 22079 to support service members, veterans, and their families during the ongoing financial strain caused by the shutdown. This event will provide hot meals, toys, gift cards and grocery support at no cost to military households.
The Holiday and Christmas Market is made possible through the partnership and incredible generosity of Paisano’s With a Purpose, Great American Community Kitchen, Victor 12 and The Pruitt Foundation. These partners have supported the military community throughout this period by providing hot meals, grocery gift cards, store gift cards and essential supplies.
Families attending the December 14th market will have access to (while supplies last):
• Food trucks and hot meals served on site
• Pantry staples
• Gift cards donated by Victor 12 and The Pruitt Foundation
• Toys for children
• Additional community resources and support organizations
Military identification will be required at check in (This also includes Military Dependent Cards and Department of Veteran Affairs Card).
This event follows three consecutive weekends of emergency support where more than two thousand people were served through VSRG food markets across Northern Virginia. The Holiday and Christmas Market aims to provide additional relief to families still recovering and to ensure children have gifts and families have food during the holiday season.
