Christmas Food and Winter Support Drive for Rising Hope
Be the gift this Christmas.

Rising Hope UMC serves the at-risk and unhoused community along the Route 1 corridor through its Food Market, Clothing Closet, and Hypothermia Shelter. Their Food Market feeds roughly 380 families every week. For Christmas, Christ Church has committed to help provide Christmas meal baskets and critical cold-weather support.

Christmas Meal Basket Needs:
Please donate:
Canned vegetables (including low-sodium options)
Stuffing mix
Masa (corn flour)
Vegetable oil
These items will go into Christmas food baskets so families can celebrate around a real holiday meal.

Winter Clothing Needs:
Rising Hope is also preparing for freezing temperatures. They are asking for new or gently used:
Winter coats, sweatshirts, long-sleeved T-shirts
Gloves, hats, boots, sneakers
Jeans
NEW underwear and socks (bulk packs from Costco / Sam’s Club are ideal)
Children’s winterwear
Hypothermia Shelter Hygiene Kits:
We’re also collecting travel-size and regular-size hygiene items to assemble care bags for guests staying in Rising Hope’s Hypothermia Shelter:
Shampoo
Soap
Toothbrushes and toothpaste
Lip balm
Lotion
Where to Drop Off:
Bring all donations to Christ Church and place them in the wooden bins by the front doors.

This is a direct way to make sure families are fed, neighbors are warm, and no one is forgotten this Christmas.
