The action-research project that we have carried out over the past few months has come together as a result of more than 18 months hard background work by the Steering Group. We have tried to find out what local people think of themselves, of where they live and what they want the future of Skeoge to resemble. Our work has also included compiling data from a series of statistical sources to explore the health and social trends affecting the local population.
Our event on Wednesday 25th June 2025 will include a launch of the report, including an overview of the key findings, and a workshop with the attendees on the next steps and way forward.
The SHARP steering group is made up of representatives from the Greater Shantallow Area Partnership / Skeoge Community Hub, Developing Healthy Communities, the Healthy Living Centre Alliance, Aberfoyle Medical Practice, Ulster University, APEX Housing Association, and the WHSCT
