About the event

What mask work has to teach us about acting
We will look at how using external impulses can affect our approach to acting with text.

About this Event

We’ll start by playing a wide variety of masks in order to become aware of the power of making choices in playing a text from external impulses.

The rest is the workshop will be devoted to playing with attitudes and with a variety of other external impulses that inspire a mask-like approach to textual interpretation.

This is an entirely practical workshop that plays with different approaches to playing with text.

Please bring along the lyrics of a pop song, a short monologue, or bit of text that you know.
