Tapestry Weaving Classes

The Tapestry Weaving Classes are designed as regular sessions for adults aged 18 and older. These workshops offer participants the opportunity to learn the basics of tapestry weaving techniques, focusing on warping a tapestry frame and exploring textures and color combinations during the first four weeks. As the sessions progress, participants will be encouraged to design their own pieces, applying the techniques they've learned in ways that reflect their personal creativity.

Beyond the technical skills, the workshops aim to provide a nurturing environment for mindfulness and meditation. The repetitive, rhythmic nature of weaving fosters a flow state, similar to meditation, which helps alleviate stress, anxiety, and mental fatigue, promoting emotional well-being and mental clarity.

Moreover, the workshops are intended to be a communal space where participants can build connections through shared creative activities. This sense of community enhances emotional support networks, contributing to improved mental health and a strong sense of belonging.

The workshops will be held once a week for two and a half hours over the course of 10 weeks.

They are open to adults seeking a creative, mindful experience while building meaningful connections with others.
