Baba Yaga's Hut Presents:
Kling Klang
Free entrance - The Shacklewell Arms - 29th November 2025
KLING KLANG are a no-nonsense heavy experimental music group performing with vintage synths, drums and attitude. Influenced by krautrock / noise / stoner music such as Neu!, Trans Am, Chrome and Black Sabbath. The band are currently touring in support of their upcoming release on Wrong Speed Records, and the repress of their critically acclaimed debut LP “The Esthetik Of Destruction”. The current lineup features Joe McLaughlin and Jon Hamilton from Part Chimp alongside George McFall and Ricky White.
“Synth-Propelled drone-rock genius. Rocking like a Mangabot Sabbath...Kling Klang take art-rock and drive an incessantly malevolent wedge through it. They’ve got mesmerizing groove and dark n’ discordant experimentation over convulsing punk rock riffs down to a fine art” Kerrang
“Kling Klang echo the heavier edges of Kosmische Musik, especially the transcendent recursive simplicity of Neu!, the ‘three Rs’ of Mark E. Smith and the DIY inventions of Joe Meek, the robotic filth of Suicide’s ‘Ghost Rider’, the drones and distortions of Cale-era Velvets, the Grand Guignol of Goblin, but also the romantic minimalism you find in the rich seam of working class northern English synth music. Somehow Kling Klang take all these elements, and compress them with immense pressure into a kind of neutron star perfection, from which only two-note keyboard solos can escape. In other words, Kling Klang are fun.” The Quietus
“If you still feel a nervy rush of excitement from the intergalactic grooves of Hawkwind's ‘Silver Machine’ as they kick into warp drive, then you must go and see this band”. Freq Magazine
“Like Goblin doing the soundtrack to Day of The Dead on heavy duty synths and guitars that drone like Electric Wizard” Vice
“A group sharing the same name as Kraftwerk's Dusseldorf studio? I had to check them out. Pounding Krautrock inspired Motorik beat, like Neu! welded to incessant Phillip Glass keyboard riffs” Andy Mcluskey, Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark
“Kling Klang’s Heavydale blew me away then and still does now. They are so awesome live.” Adrian Utley, Portishead
