Manickam Yogeswaran is an internationally known singer and composer. British press hailed him as the First Tamil musician to sing in Hollywood when he sung for Jocelyn Pook's sound tracks for “Stanley Kubrick's “Eyes Wide Shut” (1999).
As a soloist and in ensembles of traditional Carnatic (South Indian classical) and in various diverse musical contexts, Yogeswaran performed his music more than the past 40 yeas in concert stages all over the world. His repertory includes songs from ancient Tamil literature like Thirukkural, Athichudi and his own poetry set to modern music based on traditional ragas. He is celebrated singer in Carnatic music circle and he comleted 30 years of performances at the Chennai music festival in 2024. He lent his voice for movies, commercials, dance and theatre all over Europe, India, Africa, Canada and in North America. Yogeswaran collaborated with composers and orchestras in the contemporary music field all over Europe. He also plays the South Indian flute (venu), mridangam, and kanchira and teaches at the Global Music Academy in Berlin where he currently based. Yogeswaran is the Artistic director at the Global Music Academy in Berlin, he also run the South Asian program at the GMA.
The concert will be accompanied by L Nagaraju on Carnatic violin, Abhi Ram Sahadevan on mrdangam, A Srinivasan on mohrsing, and Nimalan Pathy tanpura, specially featuring Lawrence Ball on piano. Lawrence Ball and Yogeswaran collaborated in the past 20 years. They performed at the Purcell Room, Pete Townsend studio and the Lotus foundation. They are credited with three albums published on line.
A very unique computer aided light design by Michael Tusch will be part of the event.

Ananya Chatterjee's Performing Arts Group from Reading presents Bharatanatyam with program KRISHNA LEELA
The dancers will enact Lord Krishna’s mystical charm and divine energy through rhythmic and musical compositions based on the nuances and techniques of Bharatanatyam, an Indian classical dance form from Southern India.
