Cultivate Workshop Series - Acting for Camera

A popular misconception about screen acting is that an actor just has to 'do less' - in fact, working on camera requires tremendous skill and the courage to be truthful under extremely artificial circumstances. This introduction to screen acting, led by Tina Chiang, is suitable for any performer curious about the key differences between stage and screen acting. Using practical exercises, you will learn how to adjust a stage performance for the screen, create memorable takes and prepare for day-player roles using details in the breakdown. Previous participants of this workshop are welcome to attend should they want a refresher.

Acting for Camera is the first class in the Cultivate Workshop Series, brought to you by New Earth Theatre as a fundraiser for its 30th Anniversary Campaign. .
