The wonderful Susana Bernal Sanchez will be with us in London on July 6th.
Louis and Susana met during a competition at the 2023 European Balboa Festival. Their connection, both human and artistic, was instantaneous. Driven by this natural alchemy, they now wish to share with you the fruits of their explorations, blending passion, connection, and authenticity.

Level:
Intermediate to Advanced. Dancers should be comfortable with:
• toss-outs from pure bal and bal swing
• up-hold, down-hold, out and in basics
• lollies
• swivels
• comfortable dancing to faster tempos

Susana Bernal Sanchez
Susana is passionate!!! She began her career with salsa, before discovering Argentine tango in Buenos Aires. It became her passion, and she later taught it in Toulouse. In 2006, she took her first steps into the world of swing at Studio Hop, where she trained while traveling throughout Europe and the United States to follow the evolution of this dance. It was a natural progression for her to begin teaching these disciplines, which resonated with both her body and her heart. Today, she continues to refine her technique and enrich her dance, teaching with different partners at the Studio and sometimes elsewhere.
Louis Carruthers
After a fortuitous injury, Louis decided to try out swing dancing classes to help him recover. He instantly fell in love with swing and hasn't looked back. After spending 5 years learning and traveling to dance the Lindy Hop, the Balboa caught Louis' eye and what started out as a curiosity quickly turned into a passion. One night while social dancing in London, Louis met Isabella and with her help and inspiration he committed himself to learning this magical dance!
