Astra Pentaxia considers electronic music her first love and has been composing since childhood. In 2017, she released the polished synthpop EP 'Confessions from the Rainbow Manor' while living in San Francisco. After moving to Berlin in 2018, she explored new musical avenues—playing synth in the post-rock trio backward futures, releasing the EP Press Enter in 2022, and composing ambient soundscapes for theatre and spoken word in 2024.
Now studying for a Master’s in Light in Performance in London, she returns with her first solo release in seven years, featuring alto vocals, gritty Minilogue bass, and heavy ’80s-inspired drums. Coining the term 'rainbowgoth' to describe her sound, Astra blends her love of ’80s synthpop and goth icons with euphoric, experimental textures and lush rhythmic choices.
Joining her for the release party is London's own Jagara (multilayered vocals, deep bass lines, emotive synths and cinematic soundscapes) and T8 (this vessel, this vessel is a lie, a shapeshifting beast, a lesson in fluidity). Ticket prices range between 5-12£ but no one will be turned away for lack of funds.
