April Firepit Tales - Spoken Word Open Mic

Firepit Tales is a monthly spoken word poetry event held every last Wednesday of the month that's all about connecting people through the power of words around our real firepit. Whether you're a fan of poetry, spoken word, or simply looking for a unique and engaging evening out, Firepit Tales is a must-see / hear event. Don't miss out on this incredible opportunity to be inspired and moved.

Tickets:

· Open Mic Performers tickets are free (includes +1 for free also, your +1 does not have to perform).

· Regular Audience tickets are £5.00 and include a free drink from the bar.

· Audience tickets - We believe everyone should be able to experience our amazing events at little to no cost. So we have added a pay whatever you can ticket (this does not include a free drink).

· So technically still a free event and anyone is welcome

Uncle London @uncle_londonn will host the night and there is an open mic sign-up, we would love to hear your voice.

We have available in our bar a small selection of soft and alcoholic drinks, that are very reasonably priced. We have a Challenge 25 policy, so please bring ID.

Firepit is a unique space, we have a gallery of beautiful and relevant art, artist studio spaces and an area that was made for spoken work and performance events. In a slightly sunken room, surrounded by wood, with a firepit, red carpet and furniture. You will sit around the room with you MC in the centre leading the night. The mic's are connected to a Bang & Olufsen speaker system that surround every part of the room.

Why we have paid audience tickets: Historically this has been a free event for everyone, the reason we have put a price on the audience ticket is we were having so many people not turning up to the event. 70+ audience tickets would go, with maybe 3 or 4 audience members turning up. Hopefully this way, it will encourage people to come, and we are offsetting the ticket price with a drink at the bar. So in theory, it is still a free event for you :)
