Moonshine by Moonlight: Iowa's Prohibition & Bootlegging Legacy

Join us at the library on May 31st at 11:00 a.m. as we welcome back Ann Hanigan Kotz, Iowa native & author, for an exploration of some forgotten Iowa history.

Ann will be sharing her extensive knowledge of the bootlegging industry that sprouted in Iowa during Prohibition as she talks about her third novel, "Moonshine by Moonlight". Blending Iowa history into homegrown historical fiction, Kotz weaves together fact & fiction into a one of a kind story.

Ann will also have copies of this book & others available for purchase & signing after the presentation.

This program is designed for adult participants & will include the discussion of alcohol production & organized crime. All ages are welcome but we require all participants age 16 & under to be accompanied by an adult guardian.
