Pizza Craft 101: How to make incredible pizza from scratch

Join Home Baker Brian for a hands-on pizza making class where you’ll learn to make incredible homemade pizza and share the love with our neighbors.

This class will cover everything from dough shaping and resting to working with pizza paddles and crafting an authentic, flavor-packed sauce. Whether you’re a sourdough graduate (Brian's previous class) or a total beginner, you’re welcome at the table.

This class picks up where Brian’s sourdough workshop left off—but don’t worry, attendance at that class is not required. Whether you're a total newbie or a returning dough devotee, you'll leave with new skills and a full belly.

What you’ll learn:

• How to shape and rest dough for optimal flavor and texture
• The art (and a little science) of working with a pizza paddle
• Crafting a simple, authentic pizza sauce
• Tips for baking incredible pizza in your home oven

What to Expect:

• Step-by-step instruction from Brian, your favorite local flour-slinger
• Each participant will make two small pizzas:
• One for you to eat and...
• One to share with residents from a nearby retirement apartment community
• A light dinner for all: fresh pizza, garden salad, and juicy watermelon
