MAYA MITTEN :
"Maya Mitten has had the love of roots and dub in her blood since she was introduced to the sounds of the likes of Joe Gibbs and Peter Tosh at the tender age of 9.
In the 4 decades since, Maya has provided support for Solo Banton, Zion Train, Gentleman’s Dub Club, The Resonators, Friendly Fire Band and Powersteppers to name a few - as well as hosting her own radio show (back soon!) putting on her Warmth and Shine nights between Wales and Portugal and her involvement with Skarumba HiFi and Clifftop Reggae Party.
Expect uplifting and warm beats from 70’s rockers dub to fresh off the press roots and culture.
You can find Maya Mitten on Mixcloud to get a taste!"

LES 'EARTHDOCTOR' :
"Les ‘Earthdoctor’ first got into reggae, both British and Jamaican artists, in the late 70s and has been in love with it ever since. First catching his attention were Aswad, Steel Pulse, Culture and Bob Marley & The Wailers (who he was lucky enough to see live in Wales in 1981), soon followed by the discovery of a whole host of Jamaican artists - who had too easily been missed living in rural north Wales!
DJing since the early 80s, in the mid 90s / early 00s he promoted regular reggae/dub nights in Aberystwyth as part of his Dragon Collective activities, and was also resident DJ for several years at the weekly ‘Blues & Roots' nights at Aberystwyth Arts Centre. In the late 90s / early 00s he worked with live dub act Zion Train, both as a regular support DJ at their gigs, and doing the promo work for their record labels.
In the last 30 years, amongst the live reggae/dub/ska acts he has supported are Misty In Roots, Lee Perry, Adrian Sherwood, Horace Andy, Jimmy Cliff, Mighty Diamonds, Vibronics, Dreadzone, Revolutionary Dub Warriors, Zion Train, Nucleus Roots, Llwybr Llaethog, The Selecter, Skatalites, Gentleman’s Dub Club, Dubmerge, Doctors of Dub, The Rhythmites, Smokes Like A Fish, Emperor Sly, Pitch Black, Urban Dub, Black Seeds, Katchafire, Soothsayers, Brain Damage, Babyhead.
On this night, expect some uplifting roots, digidub and plenty of steppers!"
