RYTHM: communication in bateria
Sitting in a dark, moist barrack after gruelling hours spent working on a plantation. People from different African tribes tried to communicate in the language that they felt to be right in their hearts.
Rhythm.
And it worked! The stories of the old became vivid again. Disputes the tribes had in the past were now forgotten. There was a higher goal to reach.
Freedom.
Through the memories of the ancestral rituals and remembrance of the rhythms, they found the common ground to communicate between themselves. Make plans. And, in the end - be free.
Roda de capoeira is a ritual. One that leans heavily on the experiences of generations past. Time of slavery. Liberation. And many things are hidden from the view.
✨ We will addapt to beginners, non capoeiristas and advanced Capoeira music players
