As a devoted Mimi, she raises her beloved granddaughter, January, always putting the little girl’s needs above her own. Laurie’s dedication is unmatched—she moved back to Livingston to care for January, even though it meant leaving the liver transplant list in Oklahoma. Without insurance and facing end-stage liver disease, she never complains, trusting in her faith and perseverance. Whether walking 12 miles to work through a flood or pouring her heart into her work at Country Place, Laurie’s hard-working spirit and positive outlook inspire everyone around her.
