Spenborough & District Athletic Club are running a three-day summer camp for children aged 7-13 (at the time of the event). This is to be held on Wednesday 13th to Friday 15th August 2025 at the Princess Mary Stadium, Cleckheaton at 10am to 3pm each day.
Priced at £15/day or £40 for all three days.
This event provides an ideal introduction to all aspects of athletics for both newcomers to the sport, and those who are already attached to an athletic club.
The children will have a chance to participate in various athletics activities including sprinting, middle distance, discus, high jump, long jump, shot put, javelin, hurdles and more. They will also have the chance to show what they have learnt as they compete against each other in ‘Mini Olympics’ (fun athletics competitions) on the last day of the event. Parents and carers are welcome to come along and watch on Friday afternoon.
England Athletics qualified coaches are on hand, all of whom have the necessary DBS status to ensure that there will be a safe environment at all times.
There is no minimum fitness requirement to take part, all we ask is that the children try their best and give every activity a go.
