Laugh twice as hard than ever before! Saturday Splits brings together two of Lisbon's best comedians with one mission. TO HAVE YOU IN SPLITS!

The comedy scene in Lisbon is growing and alongwith that our comedians have more and more material they'd love to showcase in front of you. Join us at this special split bill showcase featuring two handpicked comedians from Lisbon's vibrant comedy scene. We'll add in some amazing vibes from our lovely hosts and this will be a night to remember!

The comedians will do longer sets during this split bill so that you can get to know them better and they can get deeper into their material. This is why unlike our other shows we limit this show to 2-3 comedians.

This week we feature two of Lisbon's favorite comics - Idan Ariel (@dustystarjam) and Jen Nafziger (@jenthestoryteller)

Idan Ariel is a former clinical psychologist who abandoned his career to be a farmer and comedian in portugal. His comedy is influenced by his life experiences, mixing dark and provocative comedy with a deep understanding and love for the human condition. Idan is a veteran of the Edinburgh fringe festival and one of the founding members of English comedy in Lisbon, performing at and organizing comedy events in Lisbon since 2019.

Jen Nafziger is an American farm girl transplanted to Portugal. Jen is a comedian, writer, and event host known for her sharp, playful style and warm personality. Her comedy has been featured in several countries and on the main stage at the Stand Up Europe festival. Her surreal fiction stories have appeared on the cover of Space & Time magazine, Daily Science Fiction, and other prominent publications.

Ash (@backpackme) will be joining us to host this lovely duo and entertain you all through the night.

Selva Comedy Cafe will welcome you to a cozy cafe with warm friendly vibes and we'll laugh the night away. Our comedians will have you in SPLITS!

Comedy is the best ice breaker, especially if you're new in town. So join us for a great evening of fun and maybe you'll even make some new friends for life.

Doors open at 8.30PM. Come enjoy some drinks! The show starts at 9PM so please be comfortably seated by then, drinks in hand.

The schedule is kind of like this:

8.30PM - Doors open and we start serving drinks and snacks

9.00PM - Comedy show starts

9.45PM - Short break, drink refill, perhaps a sneaky quick snack.

10.30PM - Show ends and there is time for more drinks, laughter, and merry making!

The venue (Selva Comedy Cafe) will serve craft beer, wine, cocktails (espresso martini, g&t, lisbon mule, etc.), Why Not organic sodas, kombucha, and some light snacks!

How it works: Please register to reserve your spot through Eventbrite and arrive by 8.30PM. We have VERY limited seating so it's best to reserve your spot and arrive on time! We hold your reservation until 8.45PM.

PS: This event is for attendees ages 15 and over. A lot of the jokes and content are adult themed. Since this is a performance art event, please don't bring your babies or dogs to it unless they can stay quiet while the performances are taking place.
