Queen Elizabeth Oak & Benbow Pond Thursday 14th August

Meeting at the Cowdray Cafe Car Park at 9.45am for a 10am start we will be taking on a 3.4 mile beautiful scenic walk, walking over the main road on a footpath which takes us onto a field, then through Cowdray Golf Course where we will visit the lime tree avenue planted to commemorate the Diamond Jubilee of Queen Elizabeth II. This avenue leads in to the park and the 1000 year old Queen Elizabeth Oak.

The trail then take us back around viewing Benbow pond before heading back around to the starting point.

Taking care on the rougher sections, especially in wetter conditions, and when crossing the golf course where you will need to be aware of golfers appropriate footwear is advised.

Dogs on leads are welcome, £1 donation per walk and toilets and refreshments available at Cowdray Cafe and Shop before and after the walk
