Time: Announcements start at 6:00 PM, roll out from the park at 6:01 PM. Re-group at Acorn Way (first sub division on the right off Hogan). If you are running behind you can usually catch up here!

17, 22 & 30 mile options.
All routes are mostly flat with a few small climbs on Rolston Road. Road conditions are fairly good out this way but potholes and washboard are some of Michigan's finest traditions. Be alert to traffic and other riders when choosing your line & keep to the right as much as possible. Rarely to never should we be riding 3 wide.
17 & 22 Mile Routes take a left on Bird Road off Smith Road. That road sign is missing! Bird Road is the first left past the train tracks. If you hit Duffield you've gone too far.
Notes:
Each rider should look out for one another but ultimately we are all responsible for ourselves. Know the route & be prepared with a flat kit. You could trust a friend to stick with you, but over the years I've witnessed the friend who knows the route ride away more than I've witnessed that friend dropping back. Always best to have the route!
Pace: A bit all over this year. If you are riding alone consider dropping back to the group behind you!
Through Labor Day we will have a dedicated volunteer sweeper for the 17 mile route only. This rider rolls whatever pace necessary to sweep the course. Traditionally the rolling pace of the sweeper is 12 mph, but they will not leave anyone behind.
Helmets are mandatory. Lights, fluids and a snack highly recommended. Broad range of bikes are acceptable for this ride: from CX to Gravel to Hybrid to E-Bike to MTB to Fat Tire.
We try to look for new attendees but can be hard to catch sometimes....especially since we tend to look alike in spandex....if you are joining for the first time ask anyone to point you in the direction of regulars who can help with any questions, etc. We all work together to make this a special and enjoyable experience.
