You’ll then learn the art of preparing and preserving these delicate specimens in your own flower press—yours to keep and use for years to come. From there you’ll be guided through the process of composing and mounting your pressed flowers creating a beautiful piece of artwork to take home. This workshop not only offers the skills to press flowers but also a deeper connection to the natural world and to uncover the creative legacy of Charleston.
The workshop includes an exclusive tour of the modernist home and studio at Charleston providing a glimpse into its rich artistic history as well as a private viewing of our latest exhibition ‘Inventing Post-Impressionism: works from The Barber Institute of Fine Arts‘.
Refreshments will be provided throughout the day including a delicious lunch made from fresh locally sourced ingredients.
