Willy Big Bull (@willybigbull) was born in Wenatchee, Washington and raised in Brocket, Alberta on the Piikani Nation. While his family calls him Bubba, his friends call him Will. Will currently resides in Lethbridge, Alberta with his wife and 3 children. Will has been singing, writing and performing music for 20 years, mostly performing at venues and festivals throughout Alberta. Although his music may be topical, often deeply rooted in social issues and struggles pertaining to the people and places he’s known all his life, he welcomes everyone into the circle. “……I want the messages in my songs and the listeners experience to transcend social and racial blockades and I want the music to cross borders….” Will’s style of music combines the best of Folk, Blues, Rock and Soul. His musical influences range from Segar to Waylon, Otis Redding to Eric Burden, while his song writing heroes include John Prine, Bob Dylan and Leonard Cohen. “…I tell stories and draw from personal experience in my life, whether it be from happiness or pain, triumph or tribulation. I always put my heart and soul into every lyric and melody. I am who I am, and you can hear it in my music.” Will is always performing throughout Alberta.
