A volunteer is organising a Motorcycle Ride Out between Garden House Hospice Care and Toddington Park to help raise vital funds. The event will take place on Sunday 28th September 2025.
The Motorcycle Ride Out to Toddington Park departs from the Hospice's Ernest Gardiner Centre at 10am. Riders can expect to enjoy a scenic route and a small tour of the unique, country manor house, before returning for midday.
It is the second event of its kind that Chris Phillips, from Letchworth, is organising. The first took place back in May of this year. 59 people took part, raising more than £1,200 in total for the Hospice. This could fund more than two days of attentive care for a patient receiving care on our Inpatient Unit.
Chris tells us:
"I've had the idea of a motorbike related event for a long while since going on a similar charity ride out in Cambridge. It's such a fun way for bikers to get together in a group of like-minded people, all while giving them the chance to donate to such a great charity.
"After the first event was so successful I now know people in the local area are keen, so I'll try and arrange a couple of ride outs each year to different venues to keep the momentum going and the funds coming in."
