On May 4, 2025, at exactly 1:00 PM local time, the starting signal for the Wings for Life World Run will echo around the globe in support of spinal cord research—and you can be part of it at the iconic Red Bull Ring. After a fantastic debut in 2024, our App Run Event is back for another round.
Register now and join us by running, walking, or rolling for a great cause. It doesn’t matter if you’re a casual jogger, professional athlete, or wheelchair user—everyone is welcome at the Red Bull Ring. Together, we’ll start on the main straight of the track.
The Course in Detail:
The first few kilometers take place directly on the racetrack, run clockwise. Starting from the main straight, the route leads to the Niki Lauda Corner, then climbs uphill through the Münzer Curve towards T3. Along the Schönberg Straight, you’ll have a chance to catch your breath. Next, the course descends through curves 4, 5, 6, and 7. If you’re familiar with the Red Bull Ring, you’ll know the challenging nature of the track, which means a slight uphill stretch awaits towards the Jochen Rindt Corner.
If you’re still in the race and haven’t been caught by the Catcher Car yet, you can be proud! For the second lap, you’ll leave the Grand Prix track at curve 10. The route then passes the Welcome Center and continues onto the Kart Track towards the West Loop. Skirting the Schönberg Straight, the trail runs along Tribune T4, through a wooded area, and down towards T9 and T10.
Important Information:
- The course is wheelchair accessible. However, for steeper inclines, we recommend arranging for on-site support.
- Start slow: Winning the Wings for Life World Run (personally) is not about the first kilometers but how far you can go before being caught.
- There will be two refreshment stations along the route providing water, Red Bull, and bananas. Additionally, the Wing Café and Bull’s Lane will be open for you to fuel up before and after the event.
Catcher Car – The Moving Finish Line:
The Catcher Car begins its pursuit 30 minutes after the official start. Every 30 minutes, the car increases its speed until it reaches a maximum of 34 km/h. Once the Catcher Car overtakes you, your race is over.
