Every Wednesday is family night at the Lenexa Public Market from 5 to 8 p.m. This week, we have partnered with the Lenexa City Center Library to have a special indoor performance inside the Library Atrium during Family Night this week.
Shiver Me Paintbrush: A Pirate’s Adventure in Arrrrt!
Join First Mate Mâché, a seasick pirate who is an artist at heart, and Captain Colorful, the most pirate-y of all the pirates, on a musical, high seas adventure! When the Captain flies away, Mâché must strike out to find him, learning how to use artist tools and meeting new friends along the way. Best for grades K-2. Presented by What If Puppets and sponsored by the Midwest Trust Center. Created with the support of an Artistic Innovations Grant from M-AAA and NEA.
ABOUT FAMILY NIGHT
A place to eat, have conversation and let kids be kids. While the Lenexa Public Market is a family-friendly location every day of the week, Wednesdays are Family Night from 5 to 8 p.m. Best part? It’s free, no registration required (except for special events).
WHAT TO EXPECT AT FAMILY NIGHT
-activities that you can play at your table like coloring pages and classic board games
-outdoor yard games such as sidewalk chalk and cornhole (summer and fall)
-balloon artist who can create twisted balloon decorations of favorite characters and animals
-dinner specials from select merchants
-rotating activities like donut and cupcake decorating that may require pre-registration and purchase of tickets (view Public Market calendar for special Family Night events)

-Topp'd Pizza + Salads: Get a free 6" kid's pizza with the purchase of at least a small pizza.
