Please join me for [Breathwork + Icebath] this Saturday, June 21st from 2:15 - 4:00 pm at Baltuska Chiropractic.
After an introduction and discussion about the different health benefits, we will learn and practice breathwork for 20 minutes. After we are feeling unstoppable from the breathing, we will step into the icebath. The science asks us to stay in cold water immersion at least 2 minutes to achieve the superpowers, but your mind will strongly disagree.
RSVP required and $40 prepay in advance to reserve your spot and so that we can be sure to buy enough ice for everyone. Invite your friends!
What to bring:
Wear comfortable clothes, bathing-suit (under clothes or to change into), towel. Yoga mat, blanket and pillow if you want to be more comfortable during breathwork (not required)
Who is this event for?
This experience does require a basic level of mobility and health. This event is not recommended for those currently suffering from any type of acute infection, serious disease or illness. Those who are epileptic or pregnant should not practice for safety purposes. People with cardiovascular issues, or any other serious health conditions should consult their primary care doctor before engaging in these activities. While many migraine sufferers have found wonderful relief in breathwork and cold water immersion, other migraine sufferers have experienced these to be triggers for their headaches.
Pro tips:
If you have no prior experience with cold exposure, start practicing finishing your daily showers with cold water in the few days leading up to this event to build up your tolerance. Cold showers are overwhelming at first, but do your best to focus on slowing down your breathing when it triggers your gasp reflex to hyperventilate. This preparation will make your ice bath easier and more enjoyable on the day of our event. Either eat light before arrival or come on an empty stomach as we will begin with the breathwork which can be uncomfortable with a full belly.
