On May 9-10 2025, the Mahoning Drive-In Theater sizzles up the screen with BACON BITS, a two-night 35mm tribute to the actor who has thrilled audiences for nearly half a century with his versatility and charm, Philadelphia’s own Kevin Bacon!
From comedies to dramas, horror to action, musicals to monsters, Kevin Bacon has done it all and shows no signs of slowing down. We’ve loved him in so many roles, it was hard to pick just three, but this inaugural installment of BACON BITS highlights just a few of our favorites.
On Friday, May 9th, we join Kevin Bacon, Julia Roberts, Kiefer Sutherland, Billy Baldwin and Oliver Platt as they engage in some dark extra-curricular med school activities after hours, as students exploring what lies beyond the land of the living in Joel Schumacher’s FLATLINERS (1990)!
Then, we bring the fan favorite 50s giant monster throwback TREMORS (1990) to the big screen in all it’s earth-shaking glory, as Kevin Bacon and Fred Ward take on gargantuan subterranean Graboids in the Nevada desert, with only their wits and dynamite (we’re counting on the dynamite) to save a small town from underground assailants!
On Saturday, May 10th, put on your boogie shoes as Kevin Bacon shakes things up in a small Midwest town where dancing is outlawed in the iconic 80s musical drama FOOTLOOSE (1984), celebrating its 40th anniversary! Cut loose and join in the fun with Lori Singer, Chris Penn, John Lithgow and Sarah Jessica Parker!
Once you’ve shaken it without breakin’ it, DON’T MOVE, because the Graboids are back for an encore presentation of TREMORS!
Arrive early each night for live DJ sets from gate to showtime, themed food specials and raffles, and a celebration of all things Bacon (Kevin, that is)!
Gates open at 6pm. Showtime at Sundown.
General Ticket: $12 (per person) - General+Extended Pass*: $22 (per person)
Kids Pricing: $5 General Ticket (under 13years). Extended Pass available at gate.
*extended pass allows you to extend your stay until noon the following day.
