About the event

Bats: Nature's Elusive Aerial Acrobats
Bruce Kimmel, leader of the VMN Banshee Reeks Bat Acoustics Monitoring Program, discusses our local bats and their crucial role in maintaining ecological balance.

After the presentation, Bruce Kimmel and Jake van Schilfgaarde demonstrate the acoustic monitoring equipment at Ida Lee Park, which reveals the types of bats flying in the area.
